you've got to be the biggest superstar i've seen. so much so that i can't look you in the eye.
but let me tell you something. your performance is amazing. no matter how many times you're in concert, no matter if it may seem a routine, everybody looks forward to what you're bringing to the stage, even though no one applauds you when you're through..
young people bask in your song with their arms raised, and your notes give the older ones a warm, fuzzy feeling. and autographs are free.
honestly you brighten up everyone's lives. you give a short escape from dullness when you sing. what they say is true... your opening and closing melodies aren't quite the same in every place you tour, and yet they still make the whole show worthwhile.
being in your presence has got to be a gift from God.

Is he/she supposed to be a real celebrity that does concerts and stuff, or is he/she a special person whom you've likened to a celebrity?...

1. You've seen him/her/it.
2. You haven't looked into his/her/its eye. This may mean that it doesn't have one in the first place.
3. And why would no-one applaud? Coz maybe the performances are not public???
4. Young and old...i'm sure there's something there...but what?
5. Autographs. So, he/she/it can write?
6. There's a beginning and end...opening and closing..but of what?

My first instinct was Venus. But the analysis won't fit.

....well...i was on the right tract that it's something not someone.
But of course, i am not as poetically artistic as you two are... :P

adonis was right in both ways. as the answer (which is clued in on starting from the title) is simply "the sun." but said aloud, it also is "the son". =)
