i still hadn't left the compound when i noticed my first potential photo of the day, and very quickly learnt that i had left my camera at home.
Cue: GAAAAAAAAAASP.
yes. i did. i put it in it's little bag, and placed it on the table as i was packing my bag. i just got caught up and forgot it there.
it wasn't as cold as it's been this past week. what caught my attention was the clouds in the sky.
ok... close your eyes and imagine. (open, read, close, imagine)
you're floating in caribbean waters. crystal clear, but hued pastels of white and blue. but. you're floating face down... open your eyes and see the bed of the shore... the ocean floor, is freckled beautifully, and it's rippled. the sand is rippled below you and the water moving gives it a shade of green.
if you were lying on your back today, that's what it would've looked like. only they were clouds.

i am deeply regretful that i could not share it with you.
please accept my apologies.


tmrw it's supposed to rain and thunder.

next week i'll be drowning in exams.


the aura of my world has been extremely unusual lately. like my sense of sight is taking in more that i ever did. but things are weird to me. like.. unusally .... alive. stupid things like flags and trees. people i don't know and... trees....
either i'm becoming legally crazy or Jesus is coming back soon.

need to photoshop out the hat of the cop who lingered in my way. coz the blue deserves more of the photo.

autumn is here.

i figured it out. my fascination with photos is capturing light. what are photographs but taking record of alignment and intensity, shade and form of light at a breathtaking moment in time? i am thankful and grateful that God chose to give me sight. a million times a day i am given reason to praise.

i've been in a haze the entire day.
the sun hid.
the sky gave me no dusk.
no colour.

but for two people, i was of use. i was 'hero of the day' for one because i surprised him with a photo, and another of my photos made someone else's day.
i took 249 photos today.
i guess the day wasn't a complete loss.
my heart was happy for those moments, but returned to being heavy.
i drove home, for once appreciating the road. but only because of the rain was it pretty; when the newly paved road was wet, it shone, decorated by reflected blurred lights.

the rain is silent guys.
it's only heard when it collides.

i found this in my employee inbox this morning after i did my rounds at the teachers' offices. even though i had brought back a cup of rasberry hot chocolate with me, i still got a warm feeling at the announcement.
as i was driving to school earlier today, i was overcome by the feeling of christmas. how you ask?... i saw a red bmw. heh. no but really , give me credit; it was a very unusual, christmassy red.

winter came overnight. i talked to some of you that night and you saw what measures i took to stay warm. i'll think about putting that photo up.
but since that night, it's been freezing at night, and generally cold during the day. to show you just how much, the computer lab is actually warm to me! and that's saying something.

whenever i come across a brain and its grooves i remember rana costa coz back in intermediate 2, we had a science fair. and she did the brain out of clay. i remember looking at those tooth picks that played an acupunctural role in labelling the parts.
i remember that i lost second prize because when they announced the winners, they read the name wrong. it's a pity i have a name that can easily be mistaken for others.
that tooth project was my favourite. i had worked long and hard. daddy sat with me on the floor and helped me carve it out. i got superexcited coz i thought to use my friendship bracelet thread for veins.
generally it was genius.

i did look out my window today and as i looked over the treetops at the setting sun's hue soaking the houses across the street i thought,
