quick ^random^ update on moi


it's been record-breaking hot for the past 3 weeks. and at this very moment there's a thunderstorm right outside. Weeyrd weather.
so i got rehired for week nine (this current week). and so far, i wouldn't consider it the best week. but hey i'm not doing this for me. in devotions today, lowell and keith reminded us that this is simply for God. and simply impossible to do alone. a mother of a camper joined us for a word of encouragement. and guess where she read from?? hah, yes, what i reflected on below. i got seriously attached to that passage. i'm very upset camp is almost over. and also that it's back to downtown school (dreading it) and moving into our new (and once again: temporary) apartment. mark is arriving this coming sunday. he should've come last sunday but missed the plane, which made me mad. but he's starting school right away. and we've got andrea (my only older female cousin) 's wedding. this weekend a bunch of counselors are heading up to a lakehouse. i really want to go. we'll see if i can. tmrw some of my covenant group girls may be sleepover-ing. which i think is gonna be a blast. hope we can get up for work the following morning =S . oh and that 80's bowling thing? hah. we SO won it. yessir. rock on dooohoooods!

not everybody, but part of the family i spent my weekend with. i feel we all took a great, bonding step together as we watched jiddo laid in his final resting place.

Audrey was in my group this past week (week 8). i fell in love with her laugh. the cutest little girl. i took this while up in the forest, or as i like to call it, the "backyard of the church". a gorgeous, beautiful place where streams of sunlight highlight the thousand shades of green and that puts your soul at rest and mind at a marvelling ease..

Encouragement and Guidance for a Counselor.

2 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking on the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself
and became obedient to death-
even death on a cross!

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life-in order that I may boast the day of Christ that I did not run or labour for nothing.

so Scene It got more like "Saw it" and we moved on to other games....

a day off.


i was so excited! my first 'going out and hanging out' with some ppl i can call my friends. i got to pick up natedawg from the train station and head on over to cassie's for some good fun. and good food! happy 4th o' july.
