[Monday, August 14]

gsu just like his sis.

Friday Morn. 6am we're off. i feel like we're going to va.

Markus is off to college. georgia southern university. gsu. hm. i thought that was strictly georgia state university. oh well.
i guess this here is a good way to start.

here it comes

as we tap away to music

abstract art

to precise structure

lookie lookie. i cracked up. but it turned out to be a fakie fakie.

we meet up with harry, mark's classmate and now roomie.

view from the main hall

mark's half of one of the walls

plushes from special girls. including me ^ - ^

the xl bed (jelousy! my feet always dangled off mine!) and the amazing microfrigerator. or fridgowave.

among the many surprises was a sewing kit. mark gonna use it? how 'bout nooo?

pee ess, how awesome is his shirt?
(thank you very much. yes. twas i.)
that right there is a handsome freshman.

ok, you see the triangular structure in the roof to the right? ok, take the left bottom corner of it. the window below that point is mark's room.

yay halls. to the right is the shared bathrooooooms. haahahahhahahaha. poor thing. things. ie, all the boys on the floor.

he probably broke something.

oh hey look

what if i just put it here like thi-

whoaaaaaaaaaaa.

road rage

the test drive down the toys aisle.

approved. and we walk off with mr. freshman's groceries and recently purchased personal items

fun part was getting it all to fit in the car.

back in the room, harry had tidied his things and made a 'coffee table' out of trunks

already making himself at home.

i really love this photo! makes me laugh. rummaging through the already many sheets of information.

goodness. so serious.

consider this a before photo. note the spotless floor and neatness. we'll see what it's like in 2 weeks or so.

hit the flowar

common transportation method.

one final one before mum and i head to a nearby inn to spend the night.

the next morning after taking the boys dunkin doughnuts for breakfast, we set off. the clouds were superbly interesting. i could only appreciate them halfway when we switched driving. it's the longest i've driven. time-wise vs. distancewise. which, if you've taken physics would technically be rate-wise.

don't take exit 2.

half of jawja. 8 hours total. for the 2 that i drove, i counted 2/2/15/13/27/22 cars; 2 corvettes, 2 z3s (one of which i played overtake with quiiiite a few times), 15 motorcycles a-ridin' (mostly in posses of 3), 13 cars with bicycles on the back, 27 cars parked on the side of the road including 2 overturned/ seriously damaged and about 15 due to accidents (this toll rose dramatically when we entered atl.-wet roads), and 22 cars with something tied on top. (this includes one car that had the bike on top. i also counted that with the bike count.)
the funny thing of the trip was us taking an exit to eat. we went down the road but couldn't see the obvious cluster of food shops anywhere. there didn't even seem to be life except for in the cars on the road. we approached a quaint little pink bldg on the the side of the road thinking it was a restaurant. the number of cars parked indicated "favourite/popular". at least we could stretch, use the bathroom perhaps and wipe the bugs off the windshield. it was only until we'd pulled into the parking lot that we saw the sign "rehabilitation center". PSH! cracking up and ducking so no one would see us, we parked at the very end of the lot. i am glad to say i was the driver (coz then i'd be considered the sane one!) . mum hopped out, cleaned the glass real quick, hopped back in, and we skidaddled out of there pronto. we forgot all hunger and got right back on the highway.
don't take exit 2.
