"jesus is my homeboy"*

yeah, well the Homeboy is holy.

last night was the last 7:22 meeting of the summer, and the last that Louie Giglio speaks. now those of you who've been up to date know that this meeting has basically saved my spiritual life along with alot of other things. here's what Louie talked about, and then some of my own.
i love Philippians.
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ - the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
it's a two part thing.
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrectioin and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
i don't really understand this very last part. but i like how it shows the whole thing shows that the things of this earth are nothing. even what we consider the best of things. lovely rubbish.
following that...
For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. my dear friends, i love you, please watch out... Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things.
....
...i LOVE this next verse...
...
But our citizenship is in heaven.
i've always considered myself a citizen of the world when i think of how much we've been around and unsettled. but yeah, i'm applying for a change of passport. taking the whitehorse airlines.
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
bara ba bah ba, i'm lovin it.
Philippians 3:7-10, 18-21.
